Ajo, Arizona -On December 16, 2017, the Hia-Ced Hemajkam organization held their 5th Annual Christmas Party. The Hia-Ced Hemajkam organization has worked cooperatively with the Tohono O'odham Rangers and the United States Marine Corps, Toys-for-Tots program to host this event.

Ajo, Arizona -On December 16, 2017, Santa Claus made a surprise visit to the 5th Annual Hia-Ced Hemajkam Christmas Party.

|Announcing the Hia-Ced Hemajkam Organization Established June 6, 2015|
Tucson, Arizona -On June 6, 2015, the Hia-Ced Hemajkam organization is established to explore the options available to become a federally recognized tribe. It is made up of a Board with seven (7) members, representing hundreds of displaced Hia-Ced O’odham. This action is a response to the recent dissolution of the October 30, 2012 Creation of the Hia-Ced District of the Tohono O’odham Nation through the passing of initiative INT-01-14, on April 25, 2015, Dissolution of the Hia-Ced District.
